An attorney working to support the Elder Justice Act has vowed to take Paradise Costs and it's cause to Hillary Clinton and to every office in Washington he can. Why? He's only in his forties.
Elder abuse is EVERYBODY'S problem. According to an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (November, 2002) it will take 30-40 years before our awareness of elder abuse becomes what it is NOW for child abuse. That means that those who are in their thirties and forties now will be victims as well.
As the agency statistics state in the baby boomer generation there may be 1 in 3 victims. Look around the dinner table, boomers, when you are out with your friends. One in three may be a victim of the same types of abuses documented in Paradise Costs.
Hasn't world history taught us the cost of apathy?
